3.5-Liter V6 Direct-Injection Turbo Delivers 370ps

The Ford "Explorer," which underwent a significant minor change just this October, now sees the "Titanium," a designation reserved for Ford's most premium models, added to its lineup. It will go on sale next March. The exterior has been refreshed, and features such as paddle shifters and interior enhancements have been incorporated.

The powertrain features the 3.5-liter V6 direct-injection turbo "EcoBoost" engine, the same base engine as the "Ford GT" set to launch in 2016, which made its world premiere at the Detroit Motor Show in January of this year. It produces a maximum output of 272kW (370ps) and a maximum torque of 474Nm (48.3kgm). This is paired with a highly capable 4WD system and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The leather-appointed interior offers exceptional comfort, with massage seats in the first row and heated seats in the second. The exterior also boasts 20-inch alloy wheels, befitting a top-tier model.

The body is available in eight colors, including White Platinum, Shadow Black, and Ruby Red. The steering wheel is on the left. The price is 6.35 million yen.
