X3 Also Downsized

The new X3 xDrive28i's inline four-cylinder engine boasts a maximum output of 180kW (245ps). Equipped with direct injection and twin-scroll turbocharger twin-power turbo technology, it achieves excellent throttle response and fuel efficiency through Valvetronic and variable valve timing (double VANOS).

While downsizing, the maximum torque has increased by 40% compared to the previous X3 xDrive28i, delivering 350Nm (35.7kgm) across a wide range from 1,250 to 4,800rpm. This robust torque allows the X3 xDrive28i to achieve 0-100km/h acceleration in 6.7 seconds, a 0.2-second improvement over the previous model.

Fitting for the latest model, environmental performance has also been enhanced. Fuel consumption according to EU measurements is 7.5ℓ/100km (approx. 13.3km/ℓ), with CO2 emissions reduced by approximately 17% to 175g/km.

By pairing this new engine with the carry-over 8-speed automatic transmission and the electronically controlled torque-splitting xDrive all-wheel-drive system, a sporty driving feel is realized.

The X3 also features comprehensive driver assistance systems. The "BMW ConnectedDrive" driver assistance suite now includes a new optional function that reads road signs via camera and displays speed limit warnings and overtaking restrictions on the instrument panel. Lane departure warning is also available as an option.

M Sport Edition for the X5

Also this spring, an M Sport Edition will be available for the X5. It will be equipped with a suspension tuned by M Performance Automobiles, 20-inch M light alloy wheels, and xenon headlights. The interior will feature a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters and electric sport seats, and the new Orion Silver Metallic will be available as an exterior color.
