Cadillac Announces Refinements to CTS and SRX Crossover
General Motors Japan announced on the 23rd that it has refined and released the Cadillac CTS and SRX Crossover.

CTS Features Upgraded Engine and New Front Grille Design
The CTS series debuted in 2003 as a new generation of luxury sports sedans. The current model, launched in January 2008 as the second generation, offers a lineup of sedans, wagons, and coupes. All are powered by either a 3.0-liter or 3.6-liter V6 engine equipped with variable valve timing and direct injection systems. Additionally, the sedan and coupe models are available with the high-performance CTS-V series, featuring a 6.2-liter V8 supercharged engine.
This update introduces a new 3.6-liter V6 engine for the sedan, wagon, and coupe. Peak output has increased by 8 kW (11 hp) to 237 kW (322 hp). Furthermore, revisions to the cylinder head design and the use of new materials have reduced engine weight by nearly 10 kilograms, contributing to more agile handling.
The exterior has been refined with a front grille emphasizing vertical ribs and a more three-dimensional emblem, creating a sharper, more assertive appearance.
Additional enhancements include the introduction of new body colors, Black Diamond and Opulent Blue Metallic, the adoption of active front headrests, and the addition of rain-sensing wipers on models other than the standard trim.
Both CTS and SRX Crossover Eligible for Eco-Car Subsidy
The SRX Crossover, popular for its blend of functionality and comfort, now features a newly adopted steering wheel heater, an added door unlock switch, and the availability of a Xenon Blue body color.
Furthermore, the refined CTS (3.0-liter, 3.6-liter) and SRX Crossover models, across three configurations, are slated to be eligible for the eco-car subsidy. A subsidy of 100,000 yen is expected to be applied to each.
