The "Ultimate Hot Hatch," the "308 GTi by Peugeot Sport," Also Appears

Under the brand slogan "MOTION & EMOTION," Peugeot approaches the Tokyo Motor Show with an expanded booth compared to the previous year. Five models will be on display.

The Peugeot flagship "508," which received a minor change in January of this year, will make its Japan debut with a diesel model. Equipped with a new 2.0-liter diesel engine developed by the PSA Group, it will be presented as the sporty "508 GT," delivering a maximum output of 180ps and a peak torque of 400Nm.

Also appearing is the "308 GTi by Peugeot Sport," unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Peugeot Sport, Peugeot's motorsport division, has meticulously tuned the 1.6-liter inline-4 turbo engine, boosting its maximum output to 270ps and peak torque to 330Nm. Peugeot touts this as the "ultimate hot hatch."

This 308GTi, featuring not only its engine but also a striking two-tone "Coupe Franche" exterior and unique bucket seats, is reportedly slated for commercial release.

In addition, a minor change model of the208"208," revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and a special edition of the compact SUV "2008"Leather Edition," which was launched in Japan last February, will also be exhibited. Furthermore, the308SW GT Line" is also scheduled to appear.
