This year marks the 45th anniversary of the "Range Rover", and its sibling, the "Range Rover Sport", have had their 2016 models announced. In conjunction with this, the flagship model "",Range Rover SV Autobiography", and the fastest, capable of 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds, the "Range Rover Sport SVR" will finally arrive in Japan.

Both the Range Rover SV Autobiography and the Range Rover Sport SVR were designed and developed by Jaguar Land Rover's SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) division. Both models are equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine, delivering a maximum output of 550ps and a peak torque of 680Nm.

The Range Rover SV Autobiography features a specially designed front grille and 22-inch alloy wheels, creating a luxurious yet powerful exterior. Optional upgrades include durable aluminum frames and Oxford leather. It is available exclusively in the long-wheelbase version with a total length of 5,205mm.

Furthermore, all 2016 Range Rover models come standard with a "Hands-Free Power Tailgate," which allows the tailgate to be opened by simply moving your foot under the rear bumper. New body colors, Waitomo Grey and Carpathian Grey, have also been added.

Range Rover Sport: SVR and HST Models Also Arrive

For the Range Rover Sport, in addition to the "SVR," the "HST" has also been introduced. This model features a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine with unique chassis tuning and distinctive design elements, bringing the total to five grades.

Grades such as SVR and HST are equipped with the Hands-Free Power Tailgate and "All-Terrain Progress Control," a low-speed cruise control for off-road driving. Equipment updates also include new body colors: Waitomo Grey, Zanzibar, Carpathian Grey, and Estoril Blue.

The 2016 Range Rover is offered in seven grades. Prices for the standard wheelbase models start at 13.39 million yen for the "3.0V6 Supercharged Vogue 340ps," 14.52 million yen for the "3.0V6 Supercharged Vogue 380ps," 16.17 million yen for the "5.0V8 Supercharged Vogue," and 18.06 million yen for the top-tier SWB "Autobiography." The long-wheelbase models are priced at 15.15 million yen for the "3.0V6 Supercharged Vogue," 19.00 million yen for the "Autobiography," and 28.58 million yen for the newly added "SV Autobiography."

Meanwhile, the Range Rover Sport is available in five grades: "SE" at 8.46 million yen, "HSE" at 9.68 million yen, the new "HST" at 11.35 million yen, "Autobiography Dynamic" at 13.46 million yen, and "SVR" at 16.05 million yen.
