Improved Environmental Performance

The "TT Coupe" offers the joy of driving with its nimble handling, thanks to a lightweight body crafted from aluminum and steel developed specifically for the model. Replacing the previous entry-level "2.0TFSI," the newly arrived "1.8TFSI" features an efficient 1.8-liter direct-injection engine, despite a 200cc reduction in displacement.

The 1.8-liter inline-4 turbo engine delivers a maximum output of 118kW (160ps) at 4,500-6,200rpm and a peak torque of 250Nm (25.5kgm) at 1,500-4,500rpm. While these figures are lower than the "2.0TFSI's" 211ps and 35.7kgm, the S tronic transmission has been upgraded from a 6-speed to a 7-speed. This enhances efficiency and allows for a more rhythmic driving experience.

Consequently, environmental performance has also improved. CO2 emissions are 159g/km, a reduction of 20g/km compared to the "2.0TFSI," and fuel economy in the 10-15 mode has increased from 13.2km/liter to 14.6km/liter. The body dimensions remain unchanged at 4,190mm in length, 1,840mm in width, and 1,390mm in height, with the same front-wheel-drive layout as before.

Both the exterior and interior largely adopt the same equipment as the "2.0TFSI." Standard features include sports seats, an "LED interior light package" that illuminates the cabin brightly at night and also functions as ambient lighting, and "LED license plate lights."

The price is 4.14 million yen, which is 470,000 yen less than the "2.0TFSI."
