A Limited Edition G 63 in Five Special Colors

On the 8th, Mercedes-Benz Japan announced the "G 63 Crazy Color Limited," a special edition G-Class SUV featuring five special body colors. Sales have begun through 28 AMG Performance Centers nationwide, with a total of 50 units available across all colors.

A Striking Contrast Between Special Colors and Black

Since its launch in 1979, the G-Class, affectionately known as the "Geländewagen," has been loved for its enduring styling and robust body, remaining largely unchanged through full model changes. This historic vehicle, with its rugged exterior, has now been updated with a special edition that incorporates optimal powertrains and equipment suited to the times.

The base model is the high-performance Mercedes-AMG "G 63" equipped with an AMG 5.5-liter V8 engine, delivering a maximum output of 400 kW (544 hp) and peak torque of 760 Nm. This special edition features five vibrant body colors not usually offered, such as Sunset Beam, Tomato Red, and Solar Beam, contrasted with black paint on the over fenders, front, and rear bumpers for a striking color scheme.

The interior also features the "designo Exclusive" package, typically found in the "G 65" the top-tier grade of the G-Class. Color-matched stitching complements each body color throughout the cabin.

Additionally, it is equipped with 20-inch AMG spoke alloy wheels in matte black paint and a side view camera, enhancing not only the design but also the practicality and ease of use.

The 50 limited units are allocated as follows: 12 units in Sunset Beam, 12 in Tomato Red, 9 in Solar Beam, 11 in Galactic Beam, and 6 in Alien Green. The price is 22.2 million yen.

To commemorate this launch, two special edition vehicles, one in Tomato Red and one in Solar Beam, will be on display at the gallery space of "Mercedes me Tokyo HANEDA" starting September 11 (Thursday). This facility opened in July at the second passenger terminal of Haneda Airport.
