3.0 TFSI quattro Also Features Matrix LED Lights

The Audi flagship, the A8, has undergone partial revisions to enhance its safety features.

Firstly, the "Matrix LED lights," previously an optional feature for the "3.0 TFSI quattro," will now be standard equipment, making them standard across all A8 models.

These LED lights consist of a cluster of 25 LEDs for the high beams, separate from the low-beam LEDs. By individually controlling the illumination of these LEDs, a finely tuned light distribution pattern is achieved.

While driving with high beams, the system uses cameras and sensors to detect oncoming or preceding vehicles. It can then adjust the light distribution as needed, illuminating the road without dazzling other drivers. This allows for continuous use of high beams even on poorly lit main roads at night, significantly improving visibility.

Furthermore, the "Pre Sense package" of preventative safety assist systems now includes "side assist" to reduce the risk of danger during lane changes, "active lane assist" to automatically correct and assist steering, and "adaptive cruise control" to maintain a set distance from the vehicle ahead. These are now standard equipment.

Pricing is as follows: A8 3.0 TFSI quattro at 11.29 million yen, A8 4.0 TFSI quattro at 13.67 million yen, A8 L 4.0 TFSI quattro at 15.64 million yen, A8 L W12 quattro at 22.40 million yen, and S8 at 17.82 million yen.
