A Form Pursuing Aerodynamics
The model to be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show is the 5-door new "Civic." This is a Europe-exclusive model, touted as achieving "significant improvements in driving performance and handling, along with a premium ride and low fuel consumption."
While its form is lower, wider, and pursues aerodynamics, it achieves a class-leading interior space within the C-segment. The rear combination lamps have a shape that enhances aerodynamic efficiency, and they also function as spoilers by controlling airflow over the top and sides of the vehicle body.
At Honda's booth at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in addition to this,...the "Fit EV Concept" concept modeland a technology model of the next-generation plug-in hybrid will be exhibited. Also on display will be environmentally-conscious vehicles such as the fuel cell vehicle "FCX Clarity" and the electric motorcycle "EV-neo." Furthermore, the 2012 models of "Insight," "CR-Z," "CR-V," "Jazz," and "Accord" are also scheduled to be introduced.
Although this new Civic is not planned for sale in Japan, it is undoubtedly a model worthy of attention.
