First Compact Model to be Produced in the UK

The Infiniti premium compact, first unveiled as a concept model at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, theQ30"Q30" will make its world premiere at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show, exactly two years later.

Born from the alliance between the Renault-Nissan Alliance and Daimler, this first compact model from Infiniti shares its platform with the Mercedes-Benz "A-Class" family. Details such as powertrain and model configuration have not yet been announced, so it remains unclear how much will be shared.

Although the released images are camouflaged, the overall silhouette appears to have undergone no major changes from the concept model, apart from minor parts such as door handles and mirrors becoming more realistic.

Infiniti is expanding its Sunderland plant in the UK for new models, including the Q30. They recently began recruiting 300 workers and have already started production preparations. It has also been announced that the crossover model "QX30" will be produced at the same plant, and it is expected to follow soon.
