Design Evokes the Fourth-Generation CR-V

The current, third-generation CR-V is sold in approximately 160 countries, with global sales exceeding 500,000 units in 2010. In North America, since its introduction in 2007, it has held the top sales position in the compact CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) market. The CR-V's stylish design and agile yet stable driving performance have earned it high acclaim in the North American market, with 201,000 units sold in 2010, a figure that underscores its popularity.

The "CR-V Concept," the North American specification concept model revealed this time, is said to indicate the design direction for the fourth-generation CR-V. It will be exhibited at the "Orange County International Auto Show" held in Anaheim, California, in September (September 22-25). Furthermore, due to the high level of interest, the next-generation CR-V is also scheduled for an earlier release in North America.

The launch in Japan is anticipated within 2011.
