A 7-inch Model Also Debuts

The newly released models are the 5.8-inch AVIC_T77, the 4.8-inch AVIC_T55, and the new 7-inch AVIC_T99.

Its standout feature is the unique MapCharge function for PNDs, offering free monthly map updates until March 2014. Updates can be easily and automatically downloaded via microSD card and your computer's internet connection. With a communication contract, updates can also be performed directly from the navigation unit.

The carrozzeria airnavi employs Pioneer's proprietary "L-format" map data format. By compressing map data used in conventional HDD navigation systems to one-fifth the size, it successfully displays information comparable to HDD, even for detailed urban maps at a 10-meter scale. Furthermore, the use of a Wide VGA monitor provides high-definition display of map and menu screens. By showing "Visual Landmarks"—prominent buildings and facilities that serve as driving cues—it offers an intuitive and easy-to-understand interface.

Equipped with "5Hz Positioning" for 5 Updates Per Second

For traffic congestion information, in addition to VICS (Vehicle Information and Communication System—a system that transmits real-time road traffic information such as congestion and traffic regulations, displayed as text and graphics on car navigation systems) and FM multiplex broadcasting, it includes data analyzed from past congestion patterns over 330,000 kilometers, covering 30 different scenarios including major holidays, seasons, and days of the week. This allows for the display of routes and estimated arrival times based on actual road conditions without a communication contract. Furthermore, with a communication contract, it supports "Smart Loop Traffic Information," where congestion data is shared among carrozzeria users. Access to diverse traffic information enables the search for more optimal routes.

Additionally, the accuracy of the vehicle's position information via GPS has been improved. By incorporating a newly developed algorithm into the positioning software, including "5Hz Positioning" which measures location five times per second, accuracy has been enhanced in tunnels, multi-level intersections, multi-story car parks, and mountain roads.

All models support One-Seg broadcasts and are compatible with a variety of formats including MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, MP4, and AVI, allowing for playback of videos and music. LED backlighting is used.

Pricing is open.
