Honda has been actively promoting environmental conservation activities. In 2006, the company set a target to reduce CO2 emissions from motorcycles, automobiles, and general-purpose products sold worldwide by 10 percent by 2010, compared to the year 2000, a goal which has already been achieved.

The "Environmental Annual Report 2011" sets a new target to reduce CO2 emissions from all products by 30 percent by 2020, compared to the year 2000. Concurrently, efforts to reduce CO2 emissions from the entire corporate activities, including production and the supply chain, will be intensified. Furthermore, Honda intends to pursue advancements in energy management technologies that will reduce CO2 emissions not only in mobility but also in everyday life.

Additionally, to signal its commitment to further proactive environmental initiatives globally, Honda has established the global environmental slogan "Blue skies for Our Children" and a global environmental symbol. The global environmental symbol is designed with a motif of a round Earth, incorporating the sun and starry sky, a heart symbolizing Honda's passion for the environment, and a white line representing a path.

Moving forward, Honda will actively utilize the global environmental slogan and symbol to pursue its environmental vision of "the joy of mobility" and "a prosperous and sustainable society," aiming to become a leader in environmental and energy technologies.
