New Collection to be Unveiled by End of 2011

Ferrari and Puma have enjoyed a six-year partnership. With this contract extension, Puma will continue to sell Ferrari-licensed footwear, apparel, and accessories worldwide, as well as develop racing suits for the Scuderia Ferrari motorsport division and serve as its official supplier.

With the increasing number of F1 races held in emerging markets and growing global interest in motorsports, including Ferrari, the partnership between the two companies is considered highly significant commercially. Both parties plan to develop and unveil a new collection by the end of 2011.

Puma boasts a long history in motorsports and has established a solid position in both sports and lifestyle sectors. Notably, Puma's proprietary flame-retardant technology has revolutionized driver racing suits in F1, creating the lightest racing wear in the world while maintaining safety and comfort. Puma will continue to provide Scuderia Ferrari with team wear and racing suits incorporating the latest technology, supporting Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa in their pursuit of drivers' and constructors' championships.

Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo commented, "Puma's commitment to product design, development, and racing wear technology is unparalleled, and I am confident they will continue to surprise us in every aspect. It is clear that licensed apparel and footwear will be key to Ferrari's future business, and I am convinced there is no better choice than to continue our relationship with Puma. We sincerely hope to move forward with Puma for many years to come."

BRAND HISTORY
Many fans are captivated by the emblem known as "Cavallino Rampante," or the "prancing horse" in Japan. FERRARI is a car that excites crowds with its fierce performance on the circuit and captivates people with its elegant silhouette and high-pitched sound on the street. This brand, which pursues the ultimate in speed in both F1 and its road cars, still carries the strong passion of its founder, Enzo Ferrari.

Born in Modena, Italy, in 1898, Enzo was inspired by a race he witnessed in Bologna at the age of 10, eventually aspiring to become a racing driver himself. His unwavering ambition steadily moved towards realization, and in 1920, Enzo became a test driver for Alfa Romeo. In the same year, he competed as an Alfa driver in the Targa Florio, achieving an impressive second-place finish.

However, Enzo's interest eventually shifted towards managing a racing team, leading him to establish Scuderia Ferrari in 1929 and take over Alfa's racing activities. Despite his prowess, his relationship with Alfa ended in 1939. After World War II, in 1947, he resumed racing activities with the "Ferrari 125," equipped with his own V12 engine. This marked the beginning of Ferrari's journey as a sports car brand.

Subsequently, Ferrari came under the Fiat umbrella. Currently, under the leadership of President Luca Montezemolo, who also serves as chairman of Fiat Group, the brand continues to enhance its appeal. The lineup includes the V12-powered "599," "599 GTO," "SA Aperta," "458 Italia," and "Ferrari California," as well as the "FF," which garnered significant attention as the first 4WD model.
