Equipped with a 2.5-liter engine, producing a maximum output of 370kW and peak torque of 660Nm!
The compact car "A1," Audi's entry-level model, now boasts a one-off version equipped with cutting-edge technology to enhance its driving dynamics.
The powertrain is the heart of the A1 Clubsport Quattro. It houses a turbocharged 2.5-liter 5-cylinder direct-injection gasoline engine, also found in the TT-RS and RS3, delivering a maximum output of 370kW (503hp) and peak torque of 660Nm at 2,500-5,300rpm. The turbocharger, intercooler, and exhaust have also been tuned for high performance, with the tailpipes positioned in front of the rear wheels, similar to the DTM-spec Audi A4.
Audi previously revealed a prototype of an all-wheel-drive A1, and as its name suggests, the A1 Clubsport Quattro is also an AWD model equipped with the Quattro system. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, achieving 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 250km/h before the limiter engages.
Beyond the powertrain, the design is also distinctive. The exterior is finished in a matte white, with a glossy black roof made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). The front face, with its hexagonal single-frame grille, enlarged front bumper, and red-accented headlights, creates a powerful look that conveys aggression. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels with a unique turbine-inspired design.
The interior is designed with the race track in mind. The rear seats have been removed and replaced with crossbars, providing space to store helmets. CFRP is also extensively used in the center console, steering wheel, and bucket seats to further reduce weight.
Furthermore, the driving experience of this A1 Clubsport Quattro can be enjoyed within the free online game "Need For Speed," playable on Windows.
