The current Freelander 2 debuted in January 2011 as an entry-level model from Land Rover, a marque renowned for its off-road prowess. While its body dimensions are relatively compact at 4,515mm long, 1,910mm wide, and 1,740mm high, it features a transversely mounted 3.2-liter inline-six engine, offering excellent performance and a spacious interior.

The engine delivers a maximum output of 171kW (232ps) at 6,300rpm and a peak torque of 317Nm (32.3kgm) at 3,200rpm. Furthermore, it is equipped with "Terrain Response," which optimizes driving performance by adjusting the engine and transmission according to road conditions. The newly released "Freelander 2 Special Edition" is based on the entry-grade "3.2 i6" and adds premium features. The exterior boasts metallic paint and privacy glass for the windows. The interior is finished with piano black interior trim finishers. With a total of ¥180,500 worth of options, the price is set at a reasonable ¥4.4 million, a ¥60,000 increase from the base model's ¥4.34 million.
