Announces Future Operations Plan


MAZDA has announced its immediate operational plans in response to the disaster caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Operations Halted in Hiroshima and Yamaguchi




As MAZDA is a manufacturer headquartered in Hiroshima, its plants were not directly damaged. However, to prioritize the safety of its suppliers, their employees, and their families, the company decided to suspend operations for the time being.

Regarding the main plant in Fuchu Town, Hiroshima Prefecture, and the Hofu plant in Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, operations initially announced to be suspended from the night shift on March 14th through the day and night shifts on the 16th have been extended until the 20th. Furthermore, they stated that operations after the 21st will be announced as soon as decisions are made.



Additionally, as an immediate measure, MAZDA plans to donate 30 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society and will provide necessary supplies and personnel support after confirming the local situation and requests.
