Limited to 750 Units Worldwide, 30 Units in Japan: "M4 Edition Heritage" Released
BMW has announced the "M4 Edition Heritage," a special limited edition M4 coupe developed by BMW M, with production capped at 750 units worldwide. In Japan, it is offered in a limited run of 30 units.
Body Colors Inspired by International Circuits
The "Edition Heritage" is a special limited edition M4, a high-performance sports coupe developed by BMW M with technology honed on the racetrack, featuring body colors inspired by circuits around the world.
The base model is the M4 Competition, an enhanced version of the standard M4. It is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine, producing a maximum output of 331kW (450ps), an increase of 14kW (19ps) over the standard M4. Paired with a 7-speed M DCT transmission, it achieves a 0-100km/h acceleration of 4.1 seconds for European specification models.
Further distinguishing features include the Active M Differential, which freely distributes torque between the rear wheels, and the M Sport exhaust system, among other M-exclusive equipment.
The M4 Edition Heritage is available in three color options: "Laguna Seca Blue," inspired by the Laguna Seca circuit in California, North America; "Velvet Blue," evoking a sophisticated sheen like velvet; and "Imola Red," referencing the Imola Circuit in Italy. The interior is appointed with Merino leather, coordinated to match each exterior color.
Special equipment includes 20-inch M light alloy wheels in a spoke style 666M, finished in Orbit Grey – a dedicated color that accentuates the car's poised stance – along with a carbon roof featuring M stripes woven directly into the material, symbolizing M models, and a carbon fiber interior.
Additionally, "M Heritage" logos illuminate on the interior and door sills, further enhancing the sense of exclusivity.
In Japan, the M4 Edition Heritage is limited to a total of 30 units: 15 in "Laguna Seca Blue," 10 in "Velvet Blue," and 5 in "Imola Red." The price is ¥15,450,000.
