Limited to 499 units, the Ferrari 458 Speciale A debuts in Paris
Ferrari has revealed the first details of the limited-edition "458 Speciale A," set to debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show in October.

The fastest spider in Maranello's history
Ferrari has unveiled the "458 Speciale A," the most powerful spider in the Prancing Horse's history. It will be sold in a limited run of 499 units exclusively for select Ferrari collectors worldwide.
The base model is the one that debuted at theFrankfurt Motor Showin 2011, and its positioning is that of a special model of the458 Spider" which appeared in August last year, and the " 458 Italia" spider version of the " 458 Speciale" . The "A" in 458 Speciale A stands for "Aperta," the Italian word for open, signifying its status as an open-top model.
The engine is the same as in the 458 Speciale: a 4,495cc V8. It produces a maximum output of 605 hp at 9,000 rpm, 35 hp more than the standard spider, and a maximum torque of 540 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch, with acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 3 seconds. The 0-200 km/h sprint takes 9.5 seconds, a full 1.3 seconds faster than the standard spider. As a result, it laps the Fiorano circuit in 1 minute 23.5 seconds, surpassing even the 1 minute 25 seconds set by the Enzo Ferrari.
This exceptional performance is achieved through the specially developed active aerodynamics at the front and rear for the 458 Speciale A, chassis rigidity incorporating ten aluminum alloys, and the Side Slip Angle Control (SSC) system, which enables optimal sports driving in any condition. Furthermore, the vehicle's weight, kept to within just 50 kg of the 458 Speciale, significantly contributes to its performance.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale A is finished in a unique three-layer yellow with a Blu Pozzi and Bianco Avus center stripe, and rides on 5-spoke forged Grigio Corsa wheels.
The cockpit has evolved to be even more spartan compared to the standard model, featuring blue carbon fiber door panels and newly designed Alcantara seats. Of course, the aluminum retractable hardtop can be opened or closed in 14 seconds, just like on the standard model.
Ferrari will unveil its full specifications at the upcoming OctoberParis Motor Show, according to reports.
