Hinting at a New Retractable Roof System
Porsche will hold the world premiere of the "911 Targa" at the Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS), which opens on January 13th with press days. The 911 Targa, named after the legendary "Targa Florio" race, first appeared 49 years ago in 1965. While the previous model (Type 997) featured a glass sliding roof, the video released this time hints at a new retractable roof system.
Porsche plans to stream the press conference, to be held at the Porsche booth at the show venue at 11:45 AM on January 13th (1:45 AM on January 14th, Japan time), live online (http://www.porsche.com/detroit). In addition to the Targa, this event will also feature the world premiere of theCayenne Platinum Edition.
