The Final Model, Lightened with Carbon

The "SLS AMG GT Final Edition," unveiled simultaneously at the Tokyo and LA Motor Shows, is based on the "SLS AMG GT" and is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine producing a maximum output of 435 kW (591 hp) and a peak torque of 650 Nm (66.3 kgm), mounted in a front-midship configuration. This is paired with a 7-speed DCT transmission named "AMG Speedshift DCT."

The body features a redesigned front bumper with an added lip spoiler, and the bonnet is now made of carbon fiber. The exhaust system is titanium, and the brakes have been upgraded to "AMG high-performance two-piece ceramic brakes."

The interior utilizes a combination of genuine leather and Alcantara from the Black Series. Additionally, a Bang & Olufsen surround sound system is standard, providing a luxurious entertainment experience befitting a final edition.

The "SLS AMG," which debuted at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, has completed its four-year run. With the 350 units of the "SLS AMG GT Final Edition," the SLS AMG quietly concludes its brilliant history.

According to statements from AMG personnel and others, a successor model, described as a "911-eater" and more compact than the "SLS AMG," is reportedly planned. This successor to the "SLS AMG," currently in the final stages of development, is expected to debut in late 2014, with rumors suggesting the "Paris Motor Show" as the venue for its world premiere. We look forward to its arrival.
