The Final SLS AMG: The "SLS AMG Final Edition"


The "SLS AMG Final Edition," the last model of the "SLS AMG," will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show and the LA Auto Show, both starting November 22. It is scheduled to be sold in a limited run of 350 units worldwide.

A Double World Premiere in Tokyo and LA


The "SLS AMG" made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009. Four years later, its final model, the "SLS AMG Final Edition," is now here.


"SLS AMG" is a super sports car, the first developed independently by AMG, following the "SLR McLaren" created by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren.Mercedes-Benz" and McLaren produced the "SLR McLaren," and this is the successor.SLR McLarenIts design features a long nose and gullwing doors, evoking the style of the legendary "300 SL."


The vehicle prepared for the Final Edition is based on the "SLS AMG GT," which received a significant update at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. It is equipped with a 6,208cc V8 engine producing a maximum output of 435kW (591hp) and a maximum torque of 650Nm (66.3kgm).SLS AMG GTPaired with the "AMG Speedshift DCT" 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, it achieves 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h, boasting specifications befitting AMG's top range.

The exterior features a hood and side mirrors made of carbon fiber, along with a wing, giving it an even more Spartan styling and a significantly altered appearance. A total of 350 units, including both coupe and roadster versions, are planned for sale. The actual vehicles will be exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show andLA Auto Showat the LA Auto Show. Pricing is yet to be determined.


In addition, vehicles developed based on the "SLS AMG" include the open-top "SLS AMG Roadster," the electric version "SLS AMG Roadster"SLS AMG Electric Drive," which received a significant update at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the "SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive"SLS AMG GT," and the high-performance model "SLS AMG GT"SLS AMG Black Series," as well as the FIA GT3-spec racing vehicle "SLS AMG Black Series"SLS AMG GT3."SLS AMG GT3".
