The video released by Volkswagen online is titled "The Lucky One."


While cleaning the paddock floor, a young circuit cleaner discovers a veiled, new "Golf R" tucked away in a corner. As he reaches out to touch the door for a closer look, none other than Sébastien Ogier, who drives Volkswagen'sPolo R WRC" in the WRC, appears. The lucky young man is then swept into a dreamlike moment.


Set to make its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show,Golf Rbased on the seventh-generation Golf, is powered by a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbo engine producing a maximum output of 221 kW (300 ps) and a peak torque of 380 Nm. When paired with the optional 6-speed DSG transmission, it achieves 0-100 km/h in a claimed 4.9 seconds.
