SRT Viper's High-Performance Version, TA, Announced

Chrysler's sports car brand SRT has announced that at the New York Auto Show, opening March 27th, it will debut a high-performance version of its sports car,Viperthe SRT Viper, called the "Viper TA."

A Super Version Bearing the Name "Time Attack"

A special edition "TA" has arrived, offering even higher performance for the "Viper" sports car sold under the SRT brand. It will have its world premiere at the New York Auto Show 2013, opening March 27th.

"TA" is an abbreviation for "Time Attack," and as the name suggests, it has been tuned for time attack racing on circuits. Furthermore, it meets the conditions for road-legal vehicles in the United States, making it a road-going racer capable of obtaining license plates.

The engine is the same 8.4-liter V10 engine found in the standard model, producing a maximum output of 640 hp and a peak torque of 83.0 kgm. The suspension has been specially tuned for time attacks, featuring Bilstein's "DampTronic" suspension system with two selectable settings. The tires mounted on the lightweight aluminum wheels are Pirelli's "P Zero Corsa."

This ultimate Viper will be delivered in a limited run of just 33 units.
