An Even More Exclusive "Q5"

Audi has announced that it will exhibit the "SQ5 TDI Audi exclusive concept" at the Paris Motor Show, opening on September 27th. This vehicle is based on the"Q5""S model" version, and it is also the first "S model" to be equipped with a diesel engine."SQ5 TDI"limited version based on the. As a commemorative model for the European launch of the "SQ5 TDI", Audi's subsidiary "quattro GmbH" has specially crafted exclusive interior and exterior finishes.



The exterior features a dedicated blue paint scheme, aluminum-finished door mirror covers, and quad exhaust pipes, hinting at its high performance. Inside, the cabin is appointed with a black Nappa leather multi-function steering wheel, shift knob, and dashboard, accented with white stitching. The upper sections, including the headliner, are finished in white Alcantara, further enhancing its inherent sense of quality.



The powertrain is identical to that of the base Audi "SQ5 TDI". It is equipped with a V6 twin-turbo diesel tuned by "quattro GmbH". This engine is based on the "3.0 TDI", which has already proven itself in European market models such as the "A6" and "Q7", and has been further enhanced for higher power. The tuning includes twin-turbocharging, optimization of the intake camshaft lift and timing, and the adoption of dedicated pistons, among other extensive modifications.

As a result of this tuning, it achieves a maximum output of 313 ps and a peak torque of 650 Nm (66.3 kgm). It delivers performance befitting the "S" designation, with 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). Meanwhile, it also boasts an exceptionally excellent fuel economy for an SUV, with a European combined cycle rating of 13.9 km/ℓ.



The "SQ5 TDI Audi exclusive concept" is, of course, a production-intended model. However, with only 50 units planned for production, its market launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2013.
