This Time, a Roadster Model

Three months after the announcement of the "BMW Zagato Coupe" was made, BMW and Zagato have now unveiled the "BMW Zagato Roadster," a concept car that is the open-top version of that vehicle, at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance held in California.

The "BMW Zagato Coupe" was well-received at the "Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este" in May. Following that, work began, and the "BMW Zagato Roadster" was completed in a remarkably short period of just six weeks to be ready for the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Like the "Zagato Coupe," the aluminum body was crafted entirely by hand. Its special paint finish shifts from gray to silver depending on the viewing angle and light, while features such as the roll bars inspired by aircraft wings, the 19-inch propeller-motif wheels, and the "Z" emblem within the kidney grille clearly distinguish it from the base "Z4."

While the "Z4" features a retractable hardtop, the "Zagato Roadster" deliberately employs a soft top.

The interior design, on the other hand, remains largely unchanged. Nevertheless, the brown leather used throughout exudes a sense of luxury.

Similar to the coupe model, the roadster is also a one-off concept car, so detailed specifications have not been disclosed. Furthermore, BMW has not yet announced whether this vehicle will be put into production.
