The World's First Premium Van

As its name suggests, the MINI Clubvan Concept is a business-oriented van model based on the MINI Clubman, with the rear seats removed to secure a large cargo area. The front seats and cargo area are separated by a robust cage directly attached to the body, featuring specifications unique to a van, such as preventing luggage from entering the passenger area in case of sudden braking.

The exterior is identical to the MINI Clubman, but the rear glass sections are obscured to hide the cargo, allowing for free painting of shop or brand advertisements. The split rear "Clubman doors" behind the right front door (passenger side door in left-hand drive) are also present, providing easy access to the cargo area from the front.

Speaking of MINI vans, the Morris Mini Van, a commercial model with a 10cm longer wheelbase, was already born in 1960, the year after MINI's debut, and later evolved into the four-seater Morris Mini Traveller. The MINI Clubman, which serves as the base for this MINI Clubvan, was inspired by the Mini Traveller, making this concept car a true return to its roots.

BMW touts the MINI Clubvan Concept as "the world's first premium van based on a passenger car," proposing its use as a partner for professions requiring the transport of goods during travel, such as fashion designers and photographers.
