MINI Announces Exhibition Details
BMW's premium compact brand MINI will exhibit the "MINI Coupé," making its Asian debut, and the "MINI Paceman Concept" at the "42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011."

MINI Unveils First-Ever Two-Seater Model
At the MINI booth for the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011, the fifth model following the MINI Hatch, Convertible, Clubman, and Countryman, theMINI Coupéwill make its Asian premiere.
The MINI Coupé, the first two-seater model in MINI's current lineup, features a three-box body style and boasts a spacious 280-liter luggage compartment. With a roofline 5mm lower than the hatchback, it is characterized by a sportier and more distinctive silhouette.
The powertrain includes an engine producing 90kW (122ps) for the base model "MINI Cooper Coupé," 135kW (184ps) for the higher-grade "MINI Cooper S Coupé," and 155kW (211ps) for the sports model "MINI John Cooper Works Coupé." A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on all grades, with a 6-speed automatic transmission available as an option for the "Cooper Coupé" and "Cooper S Coupé."
The "Active Rear Spoiler," a first for MINI, is integrated into the trunk lid and automatically extends when the vehicle exceeds 80 km/h. At maximum speed, it generates up to 40kg of downforce. The MINI Coupé is a model packed with performance and features designed to perfect the "go-kart feeling" that MINI has relentlessly pursued.
Pace man Concept, Unveiled at Detroit Motor Show, Also Exhibited
The four-door "MINI Countryman"basedthe concept model "MINI Paceman Concept"will also be on display. Developed as the first "Sports Activity Coupé" in its segment, it is a model that fuses the characteristics of the Countryman with coupé styling.
Powered by a potent 155kW (211ps) four-cylinder engine, it boasts a masculine styling among MINI models, with short overhangs and a powerful rear end. The concept car expresses its strength and unique character through 19-inch wheels and MINI's signature rising shoulder line towards the rear.
In addition, the MINI booth will also feature current models such as the "MINI Countryman" and "MINI John Cooper Works."
