Held on November 7th at Sportsland SUGO,the 2012 Nissan GT-Rwas unveiled at a press test drive event. Journalist Satoshi Watanabe served as the test driver.

The 3.8-liter V6 engine features optimized valve timing, air-fuel ratio, and ignition timing, resulting in a maximum output of 550 ps (a 20 ps increase over the 2011 model) and a maximum torque of 632 Nm (a 20 Nm increase). In terms of acceleration, it achieves 0-100 km/h in 2.84 seconds.

Another notable feature is the introduction of asymmetrical suspension: the front left spring rate is set harder, and the rear suspension arms are mounted with the left side angled upwards and the right side angled downwards.

Furthermore, instead of the previous Spartan "spec V" version, the 2012 model offers the "for TRACK PACK" option for the "Pure Edition." This package includes dedicated suspension co-developed with Nord Ring, led by GT-R development driver Toshio Suzuki; front and rear brake cooling air guides; RAYS forged aluminum wheels; and a front spoiler with carbon air ducts. The model featured in this accompanying video is equipped with the "for TRACK PACK."

As detailed above, did the new model, which boasts such significant advancements on paper, live up to these astonishing figures? We invite you to discover the true capabilities of the 2012 model in this video. A detailed test drive report by Satoshi Watanabe will also be published soon, so please look forward to it.
