An Interactive Art Space Appears in Futako-Tamagawa

The third installment of "HARRIER CAFE" made a limited-time appearance on November 22nd and 23rd at Futako-Tamagawa Rise, a popular new spot in Tokyo for families. The previous installments, featuring an installation with Japan's largest kaleidoscope and collaborations with the luxury Italian furniture brand "arflex" and popular coffee shop "Sarutahiko Coffee," had already invited visitors into surprising spaces, naturally raising expectations. With the subtitle "MAGICAL JOURNEY," we immediately report on the art space that unfolded this time.

A "Magical" Experience, as if Traveling in a Harrier

On a leisurely holiday, shoppers and moviegoers paused at the suddenly appearing "HARRIER CAFE." "What is this?" they wondered. Stepping inside, they were first greeted by the concept car "Mirror Harrier," entirely covered in mirrors. Objects were placed on the car's sides, reflecting something on its silver body. Tracing the Harrier's beautiful body lines and searching for the right angle, the word "HARRIER" clearly appeared on the car.

After enjoying such trick art, we moved to the specially equipped "PREMIUM "Style MAUVE"" in the center. The moment the door was opened to check the detailed interior, a cat ran past with a dog's bark. While surprised by the suddenness, everyone immediately smiled. Yes, this was the highlight: "Shadow Interactive Projection." Actions like standing in front of the Harrier, touching the car, or opening the doors triggered various video effects on the floor. Besides cats, unique visuals appeared, such as numerous gift boxes, suitcases, and stuffed animals, or a flurry of cherry blossoms. Moving to the front, the Harrier's shadow approached with the sound of the engine. It felt as if you had become the owner in Wonderland. Adults and children alike enjoyed these displays with smiles.

Furthermore, projection mapping, where large images are displayed around the Harrier, also appeared periodically. Just as the floor was covered in graphical designs, the ground transformed into a cityscape. Beyond that, it became a lush forest, and after traversing a desolate wilderness on a map, snow began to fall. Before we knew it, we were advancing into a snowy forest, giving us the sensation of traveling in the Harrier. Cameras were installed on the ceiling, offering a service to photograph visitors within the HARRIER CAFE's art space. We were truly immersed in a "MAGICAL JOURNEY" world.

After experiencing the Harrier's appeal through cutting-edge interactive art, we took a break with "Tabi no Tobira Blend" specially prepared by Sarutahiko Coffee. In the lounge area, a "Hologram Harrier" that floated with the latest technology was placed on the tables, a subtle yet impressive touch. Also on display were sofas from the collaboration with arflex's iconic "Marenco" sofa, which had appeared previously.

At "HARRIER CAFE," in addition to just experiencing the exhibits, there were services to make the event even more memorable, such as a free coffee for posting photos taken at the venue on social media, and a "Photo Sticker Printer" that printed and presented your posted photos as stickers on the spot. We are already eagerly anticipating the next event, wondering what kind of daydream it will show us.
