3.5-Liter V6 Gasoline + Motor

The hybrid model is named the "S400 BlueHybrid." It features a system that combines a refined 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine, also used in the current model, with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery.

The system's power output is reported as 279 ps from the engine alone and 20 ps with 16.3 kgm of torque from the motor. Fuel economy, a key point of interest, is announced at 12.6 km per liter.

This minor model update, the first in four years, also introduces models with diesel engines, further enhancing environmental performance.

Externally, the redesigned front face significantly alters the vehicle's image.

Safety features now include Adaptive Highbeam Assist, which automatically switches between high and low beams based on oncoming traffic, and Lane Keeping Assist.

Orders for the revised S-Class have begun in Germany, with a gradual rollout planned for global markets.

BRAND HISTORY
When tracing the history of the automobile, two German pioneers emerge: Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz. It is common knowledge that these two men independently developed gasoline-powered automobiles between 1885 and 1886, laying the foundation for our car-centric society. Their respective companies were once rivals, but to overcome the post-World War I recession, they joined forces, leading to the merger and establishment of Daimler-Benz AG in 1926.

The name "Mercedes" given to the products originated when Emil Jellinek, a customer of Daimler, requested that his eldest daughter's name be used in exchange for taking on exclusive sales rights outside of Germany. The name was registered as a trademark by Daimler in 1902.

Thus, Mercedes and subsequently Mercedes-Benz have consistently led the way in automotive development, actively introducing cutting-edge technologies such as the safety passenger cell, airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), and Night View.
