Extensive Refinements Over the Base Model

The "599HGTE" is a new model designed to make Ferrari's flagship 599 even sportier and more dynamic to drive.

Key differences from the base model include further advancements in electronic control to shorten F1 gearbox shift times, improved throttle response, revised damper settings, and a lowered ride height, among many other enhancements.

These changes reportedly achieve more confident and dynamic handling and sharper cornering, while maintaining ease of driving.

Further refinements to the exhaust silencer and an interior lavishly appointed with carbon fiber also contribute to an evolved aesthetic and auditory experience compared to the base model.

Target Output: 700ps/9000rpm

Meanwhile, the "599XX" is a model developed as the ultimate race car based on the 599. While retaining the transaxle layout and engine, it represents the pinnacle of Ferrari's technological prowess.

Through improvements to the combustion chamber and intake/exhaust ports, along with reduced internal friction, the engine achieves a maximum speed of 9000rpm and a target output of 700ps/9000rpm. Extensive wind tunnel testing has also resulted in a claimed downforce of 280kg at 200km/h.

F1 technology has, of course, been incorporated. A unique F1 technique of covering part of the brake discs and wheel rims with a "donut" has been adopted to enhance aerodynamics and brake cooling.

The release date and pricing for the Ferrari 599HGTE are yet to be determined. While there are plans for the 599XX to be commercially available, it is expected to be sold to select clients.

BRAND HISTORY
Not a few fans are captivated by the emblem known as "Cavallino Rampante," or the "prancing horse" in Japan. FERRARI is a car that excites crowds with its fierce performance on the circuit and captivates people with its elegant silhouette and piercing sound on the street. This brand, which pursues the ultimate in speed for both F1 and road cars, still carries the strong passion of its founder, Enzo Ferrari.

Born in Modena, Italy, in 1898, Enzo was inspired by a race he witnessed in Bologna at the age of 10, and eventually decided he wanted to become a racing driver. His singular ambition steadily moved toward realization, and in 1920, Enzo became a test driver for Alfa Romeo. In the same year, he competed as an Alfa driver in the Targa Florio, achieving an impressive second-place finish.

However, Enzo's interest eventually shifted to managing a racing team, leading him to establish Scuderia Ferrari in 1929 and take over Alfa's racing activities. Despite his demonstrated skill, his relationship with Alfa ended in 1939. After World War II, in 1947, Ferrari resumed racing activities with the "Ferrari 125," equipped with its own V12 engine. This marked the beginning of Ferrari's journey as a sports car brand.

Ferrari later became part of the Fiat group. Currently, under the leadership of President Luca Montezemolo, who also serves as chairman of the Fiat Group, the brand continues to enhance its allure. The lineup consists of five models: the V12-powered "599" and "612 Scaglietti," the mid-engined V8 sports cars "F430" and "F430 Spider," and the ultra-sporty "430 Scuderia."
