Mercedes-Benz CL600

Infused with the Latest Technology

Combining dignity, elegance, and dynamic performance,Mercedes-Benzpresents the "CL-Class," its luxury coupe. This current generation, the seventh since the legendary "300S Coupe" debuted in 1952, was launched in 2006. By incorporating Mercedes' cutting-edge technology without compromise, this vehicle asserts a powerful presence through its uncompromising driving performance, comfort, and groundbreaking safety features.

The imposing styling and luxurious interior are hallmarks of a luxury coupe. Furthermore, the advanced technology inherited from Mercedes' flagship sedan, the "S-Class," enhances the CL-Class's appeal.

For instance, the top-tier "CL600" model is equipped with a 5.5-liter V12 twin-turbo engine, delivering immense power. Its 517 ps of maximum output and 830 Nm of peak torque provide the smooth, effortless acceleration characteristic of a V12.

Supporting this is the ABC (Active Body Control) electronic hydraulic suspension, which achieves a superior balance of comfort and handling. Mercedes' focus on safety is evident not only in passive safety features like the impact-absorbing body and airbags but also in standard active safety systems such as Night View Assist, which detects obstacles using infrared in low-light conditions, and Active Light System, which adjusts headlight direction with steering input, assisting the driver's safety.

BRAND HISTORY
When tracing the history of automobiles, two German engineers, Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz, emerge as pioneers. It is widely known that these two men independently developed gasoline-powered automobiles between 1885 and 1886, laying the foundation for the automotive society. Although their respective companies were once rivals, they joined forces to overcome the post-World War I recession, leading to the establishment of Daimler-Benz AG through their merger in 1926.

The name "Mercedes," given to the products, originated when Emil Jellinek, a Daimler customer, named the cars after his eldest daughter in exchange for taking on exclusive sales rights outside Germany. The trademark was registered by Daimler in 1902.

Thus born, Mercedes, and subsequently Mercedes-Benz, has consistently led the automotive world by actively introducing the latest technologies such as the safety passenger cell, airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), and Night View.
