An App is Also Released
The video released as a teaser for the new A-Class, set to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show, features QR codes used as camouflage. Mercedes-Benz will reportedly run several prototype models of this new A-Class on roads across Germany. By installing the smartphone application "A-Class QR Trophy," available for download from the Apple App Store or Android Market, and scanning the QR codes covering the car body, witnesses can earn a "badge." Collecting four badges allows entry into a lottery, with one winner invited to the Geneva Motor Show.
The new A-Class, details of which are highly anticipated, is expected to share its powertrain with the new B-Class, with five gasoline and four diesel engine options anticipated.
