A Record-Breaking Streak
In 2010, Ferrari sold 6,573 units to its global dealer network, a 5.4 percent increase year-on-year. Annual revenue reached €1.919 billion (approximately ¥216.847 billion), a 7.9 percent increase, while operating profit stood at €302.7 million (approximately ¥34.251 billion), up 26.9 percent. The company attributes this performance, which surpassed its previous records set in 2008, to the rapid growth of emerging markets, particularly in Asia, and the recovery of the US market.
Profit margins also improved, with the Return on Sales (ROS) reaching 15.8 percent, a historic high for Ferrari. These record figures significantly exceed the automotive industry average and approach those of luxury goods companies, underscoring Ferrari's unique brand status. Furthermore, net cash amounted to €630.8 million (approximately ¥71.280 billion), and cash flow reached €290 million (approximately ¥32.770 billion).
Looking at regional sales growth, China saw an increase of approximately 300 units, a 43.6 percent rise year-on-year, setting a new record. In the Greater China region, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, sales reached 478 units (a 23.8 percent increase). This growth has positioned the Asia-Pacific region as Ferrari's fourth-largest market globally. Sales in the Middle East also remained exceptionally strong, maintaining a high level of 349 units despite the sluggish economy.
In the United States, which was thought to be struggling since the Lehman shock, sales achieved a new record of 1,576 units, a 12.7 percent increase. The North American region (US and Canada) accounts for 26 percent of Ferrari's total sales, remaining its most crucial market. Although signs of economic recovery are still not evident in the European market, overall sales saw a nearly 5 percent increase, with the UK contributing significantly with 467 units sold, an increase of 58 units year-on-year.

Expanding into India After China
This year also marks the decision to enter the Indian market. The first official dealership is set to open in New Delhi in the spring, followed by a second in Mumbai by the end of the year. With this expansion into India, Ferrari will now have a presence in 58 countries worldwide.
Ferrari also achieved strong results in its brand-related businesses. Notably, "Ferrari World Abu Dhabi," which opened in November 2010 in the United Arab Emirates, exceeded expectations with tremendous success. The Ferrari Store within the theme park recorded the highest sales globally. Additionally, the official website (www.ferrari.com) garnered over 300 million page views, and its Facebook page attracted more than 3 million members.
In response to these results, Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo stated, "I am extremely pleased with the remarkable financial results of 2010. However, we must face 2011, which holds numerous challenges. This year's key developments include the debut of our latest vehicle, the Ferrari FF, the brand's first all-wheel-drive model, at the Geneva Motor Show. Next, we will strategically open our first official dealership in India to expand our international market reach. The motorsport season is also fast approaching. Although the F1 Championship is expected to be a fierce competition, Ferrari aims to reclaim the title. Concurrently, we must continue to develop the Ferrari brand. 2011 will be a year marked by effective investments and numerous innovations. As always, the success of this endeavor rests on the shoulders of our most valuable asset: our exceptional employees."FF" at the Geneva Motor Show.
