Robust and Uncompromising Styling

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been a bestseller for over 30 years since its launch in 1979. While its fundamental styling and robust body remain unchanged, minor modifications have been made to the powertrain, functional equipment, and other details.

Born as a more rugged "cross-country" vehicle before the term SUV even existed, the G-Class has faced rumors of discontinuation several times. However, its off-road performance, solid and uncompromising styling, and timeless individuality have strongly appealed to those with discerning lifestyles, ensuring its enduring appeal even into the 21st century.

Despite being in production for over 30 years, it has undergone updates in various areas and equipment to meet modern driving conditions and regulations.

NECK PRO Active Headrests

Interior in Chablis seat color and Designo Maple Grain Wood trim

This update includes the standard fitment of "NECK PRO Active Headrests" for the driver and front passenger. These headrests instantly move forward and upward upon impact from behind, such as in a rear-end collision, to protect the occupant's head and neck. Additionally, the wheel design for the G550 Long has been refreshed.

Despite these enhancements, the prices for all models remain unchanged.

For the high-performance G55 AMG Long model, the "Designo AMG Program" for custom interior and exterior orders is available. This allows customers to freely combine seven exterior colors not normally offered, eleven interior colors, and five types of interior trims using various materials to create a truly unique vehicle.

A Sharp and Chic Limited Edition

Announced concurrently is the G550 Long Carbon Edition. This model adopts "Designo Mystic White 2" as its exterior color, a popular choice from the Designo AMG Program typically reserved for AMG models. Combined with carbon strip line trim on the body sides, it imparts an elegant presence to the exterior.

The interior features glossy carbon trim and chrome accents on the center console and steering wheel, creating a sharp and sophisticated cabin. A dedicated serial plate, milled from aluminum and engraved with "G550 long Carbon Edition 1 of 30," is mounted just ahead of the shift knob.

This model is priced at 14 million yen and is limited to 30 units nationwide.
