Enjoying the Ritual
It's been quite some time since I began balancing my work as a management consultant with late-night and early-morning radio and TV appearances, and I still get nervous before each broadcast. With so many live shows, maintaining my health is paramount.
My schedule inevitably becomes irregular, so to manage it, I've naturally made physical training a habit. I've been training with a kickboxing instructor twice a week without fail for some time. A few years ago, I also started running three times a week, covering a total of 50km each week: 15km, 15km, and 20km (laughs).
I have many running friends, so I enjoy my training. However, running under direct sunlight means that, with age, I've become concerned about my skin becoming dry and flaky after sun exposure. Recently, I've made it a habit to use "Wakan Organics" after showering, and I feel my skin is being conditioned. Initially, I was a little hesitant about the scent of the 16 natural herbs, but knowing they are enzymes that stimulate cells, I now use it with the mindset of taking good medicine.
Craftsmanship Trusted Worldwide
Through my work abroad, I've come to feel that Japan is overwhelmingly superior when it comes to "monozukuri" (craftsmanship). Companies like Kobayashi Ken-gyo (http://www.ginzado.ne.jp/~kenma/), known for the mirror polishing on the back of the iPod, are wonderful examples.
Furthermore, it's said that the global LGBTQ community, known for its sensitivity to trends and high aesthetic standards in all things, is now focusing on Japanese "monozukuri."
Especially in the realm of skincare, where products are applied directly to the skin, the pursuit of meticulous detail has led to a high level of trust in Japanese technology. In light of this trend, high-quality products like "Wakan Organics," created using advanced Japanese manufacturing processes with potent cosmetic ingredients developed through the breeding efforts of medical doctors, will surely be readily accepted if placed within their reach.
While Japan has many things that deserve recognition, what will be needed in the future to convey them to the world is the cultivation of "kenzan" (flower arranging frogs) that can arrange these wonderful "flowers" (products).
