Effortless Skincare with a Two-Step Routine of Cleanser and Lotion
SKIN X is releasing the "SKIN X PLATINUM EDITION" skincare series, which can be chosen according to skin type. Formulated with carefully selected ingredients, the cleanser in particular contains "Tripolous," a naturally derived carbon material developed by Sony. This results in a product that offers high cleansing power while also being environmentally conscious. The release date is September 23, 2020 (Wednesday).

The men's skincare brand "SKIN X" was launched in March 2020 as a new skincare brand created through thorough research into men's unique skin concerns.
The functional exfoliating toner "SKIN X The Exfoliator," which removes dirt and dead skin cells from the skin's surface, and the functional moisturizing lotion "SKIN X The Moisturizer," which combines toner and lotion for thorough hydration, have already been released.
Now, the new skincare series "SKIN X PLATINUM EDITION" is here. With a two-step routine of the cleanser "SKIN X The Clay Wash" and the lotion "SKIN X The Moisturizer," two types are available to suit men's skin types and needs.
"SKIN X PLATINUM RED" is for oily skin, designed to remove excess oil that causes shine and greasiness, leaving skin clean and clear. It opens with a refreshing bergamot scent that gradually transitions to a calming mugwort aroma.
The Clay Wash is alkaline, making it effective against acidic impurities like oil. It thoroughly cleanses to remove excess shine and greasiness. The ultra-fine "Matera Powder," made from Matera stones, reaches deep into pores to lift out dirt.
The Moisturizer uses hot spring water that flows daily from Yumoto Onsen in Izumo. Its mineral-rich ingredients provide a refreshing feel and excellent hydration. It also contains ultra-low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. These nano-sized ingredients penetrate the stratum corneum to improve skin condition.
"SKIN X PLATINUM BLUE" is for dry skin, gently cleansing daily impurities while providing thorough hydration for healthy, firm skin. The scent begins with fresh mint, gradually deepening into geranium, harmonizing with a rich, profound woody base.
This Clay Wash is weakly acidic, similar to human skin. It cleanses gently with minimal irritation, preserving moisture. Natural coral grains adsorb and remove waste products. Additionally, Okinawan Kucha (a natural clay mineral particle) penetrates fine skin surfaces and pores to absorb impurities.
The Moisturizer contains deep-sea water from Ishikawa Prefecture. Its mineral balance is said to be nearly identical to that of blood, bodily fluids, and amniotic fluid. This seawater, free from bacteria and chemicals, is gentle on the skin and highly moisturizing. It also features SKIN X's proprietary nano-emulsion technology, delivering cream-level hydration in a lotion.
The Clay Wash is formulated with "Tripolous," a naturally derived carbon material developed by Sony from rice husks.
"Tripolous" possesses numerous composite pores, including micropores (under 2 nanometers) found in activated carbon, as well as larger mesopores (2-50 nanometers) and macropores (over 50 nanometers).
This structure allows it to readily adsorb substances that are difficult for activated carbon to capture. It also enables rapid adsorption of low-molecular-weight compounds.
"Tripolous" also aligns with SDGs by utilizing rice husks, surplus biomass discarded at an annual rate of approximately 100 million tons globally.
