The brand name “De Ou” is short for “King of Deodorant,” and the slash in the logo signifies a sword to combat odor. Benzalkonium chloride kills odor-causing bacteria and suppresses odor development. Contains porous medicinal charcoal (adsorbent) with superior adsorption power to charcoal. It adsorbs sebum, dirt, and odor. The specially formulated functional fragrance, Odor Veil™, encapsulates nonenal, the source of unpleasant odors, and transforms it into a citrus-herb aroma.
To use, dispense about 5mL (one pump) into your palm, spread it directly onto your skin, lather with a sponge or your hands, and rinse with water. For areas prone to male body odor (head, behind ears, neck, nape, chest, back, etc.), do not lather; apply directly with your hands.
De Ou Medicated Protect Gel Lotion

Witch hazel extract and tea catechins tighten and condition the skin. Like the Medicated Cleansing Wash, the specially formulated functional fragrance, Odor Veil™, encapsulates nonenal, the source of unpleasant odors, and transforms it into a citrus-herb aroma.
To use, dispense about 5mL (one application) into your palm and apply to the skin, focusing on the upper body and spreading over the entire body. For areas particularly prone to male body odor (head, behind ears, neck, nape, chest, back, etc.), apply and rub in again for enhanced effect.
Approaching Both 'Water-Soluble' and 'Water-Insoluble' Odors
Body odor is generated when secreted sweat, sebum, and old keratin are decomposed by bacteria or oxidation. Depending on the body part, the distribution of sebaceous and sweat glands, and the sebum secreted differ, leading to different odors. Odors like 'ammonia' and 'acetic acid,' which are the source of odor from the scalp, sweat, armpits, and soles of the feet, are water-soluble and can be washed away. However, 'nonenal,' the cause of aging odor, is not easily washed away with water.
Rohto Pharmaceutical has focused on approaching both these 'water-soluble' and 'water-insoluble' odors. They discovered that nonenal, which is difficult to wash away, carries a slight negative charge on the skin, and developed a technology to remove nonenal using positively charged components.
