September 2008 Feature | Madame Hacci and Michiko Fujiwara's Honey Special
Honey: The Gift of Beautiful, Radiant Skin
Honey is something familiar in our lives, yet we may not fully grasp its remarkable power.
Hitomi Mizutani (Madame Hacci), born and raised at Mizutani Bee Farm in Matsusaka, Mie Prefecture—one of Japan's three major beekeeping farms since 1911—grew up surrounded by honey. After marrying and moving to Beverly Hills with her family, she was inspired by the local madames who cherished honey for beauty in their daily lives. She thought, "Let's make women shine even brighter with my family's honey."
This led to the creation of the 'BEAUTY HONEY' series, which enhances her family's prized honey with various beauty ingredients. It was through this line that Madame Hacci met Michiko Fujiwara.
Worker bees (females) produce only about a teaspoon of honey in their short lifespan. This precious gift from nature has been transformed into unparalleled beauty items through diverse ideas and ingenuity.
Enjoy the honey story of Madame Hacci and Michiko Fujiwara, a beauty icon she deeply admires.

Honey has long been cherished as an ideal facial cosmetic. At Fujiwara's suggestion, "What if we made a solid soap packed with honey?" Madame Hacci and the 'soap master' embarked on a challenging two-year journey. The ideal was a heavy bar yielding imperceptibly fine foam—a secret known only to Madame Hacci.
