But why have the items for creating dewy skin become so abundant? As I touched upon in last month's series, effortless fashion that appears unstudied has been mainstream for several years. Therefore, makeup has adapted to this impression, with a natural-looking, relaxed skin finish becoming the standard.

Of course, it's not just that; dewy skin also gives an impression of beautiful, vibrant, and youthful skin, and adds dimension to the face. In essence, dewiness is convenient and effective in many ways. Women realize this, which is why demand is high, and brands are eager to release various dewy products.

Where to Add Dewiness and Its Effects

By the way, the most effective and easiest way to achieve dewy skin is to apply it to the C-zone around the outer corners of the eyes. Adding dewiness to this area alone makes the entire face look more vibrant, camouflages crow's feet, and adds dimension to the face. Also, applying it in an inverted C-shape along the upper outer corner of the cheek and the sides of the nose bridge, above where you apply blush, makes your cheeks appear lifted when you smile, doubling their cuteness. Actually, decades ago, before such dewy products were available, I used this technique to give models a vibrant impression during photoshoots. I used olive oil from a beauty serum. Just before the shoot began, I'd take one or two drops on a sponge, rub it lightly, and then gently pat it onto the dewy zones to add dewiness to the model's skin. Applying it just before was to prevent makeup from breaking down. Of course, today's products are formulated with makeup longevity in mind, so there's no need to worry about that. I truly feel what a convenient era we live in.
