NARS × Thakoon 2010 Autumn/Winter Collection

Fashion designer Thakoon Panichgul, originally from Thailand, has captivated Anna Wintour, the legendary editor-in-chief of VOGUE, and serves as the creative director for the Japanese jewelry brand "TASAKI." The makeup for his "Thakoon" 2010 Autumn/Winter collection was handled by "NARS Cosmetics." Focusing on the makeup of this highly popular brand's runway show!

Garments Inspired by Contemporary Dance and Strong Brows

The exhibition "Le Defile," showcasing costumes and accessories from choreographer Régine Chopinot's ballet works designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier between 1983 and 1994, inspired Thakoon Panichgul. "I wanted to create a collection that reflected that era, influenced by the costumes used in that show. But without the gothic elements," he says.

"The look is fresh, beautiful, radiant, and very confident," says makeup artist Diane Kendal. "We focused on strong brows and emphasized the eyes to create depth and boldness. But without clashing with the collection's textures, layers, and colors..."

Face
Blend NARS Sheer Glow Foundation from the center of the face outwards for a smooth, even finish.
Conceal any areas of concern with NARS Concealer Stick.
Achieve a smooth, polished finish with NARS Powder Foundation.
Apply NARS Blush in 4032 (Douceur/New Autumn Color 2010) to the apples of the cheeks.

Eyes
Apply NARS Duo Eyeshadow 3073 (Portobello), a matte warm beige, all over the lids and blend towards the brows.
Use NARS Duo Eyeshadow 3081 (Tzarine/New Autumn Color 2010), a platinum gold, to add radiance to the lids and highlight the inner corners of the eyes along the brow arch.
Define the lash lines, both upper and lower, with NARS Single Eyeshadow 2073 (Coconut Grove/New Autumn Color 2010).
Define the brows with NARS Single Eyeshadow 2004 (Bali).

Lips
Apply NARS Pure Matte Lipstick 3505 (Tashkent/New Autumn Color 2010) to the center of the lips and blend outwards.
