The Core of Michiko Fujiwara, the Charismatic Woman, Analyzed by Miyoji Okabe (Part 3, Final)

In the previous installment of "The Core of the Charismatic Woman," Miyoji Okabe dissected Michiko Fujiwara's "core of sincerity."

During a meeting to plan this series for OPENERS, beauty scientist Miyoji Okabe expressed a strong desire to have a conversation with Michiko Fujiwara.
With Ms. Fujiwara's kind agreement, the conversation was realized, and Mr. Okabe proposed the theme: “Why Do Some People Grow More Charming With Age”.
The third installment of "The Core of the Charismatic Woman" dissects the "core of timing" in Mr. Okabe's unique style.

The Core of Timing

Michiko Fujiwara gives the impression of working efficiently and without wasted motion, but as I spoke with her, I realized that her movements incorporate a subtle sense of timing.
When it comes to her way of thinking, phrases like "good enough" or "oh well" often come up. I believe this gentle, almost wavering softness is a key element of the charm that emanates from Ms. Fujiwara.

Innate Timing

Listening to Ms. Fujiwara talk about her approach to work, I could sense the importance of timing in her every action.
While she might execute her hair and makeup work with sharp precision, she occasionally injects a moment of playful absurdity. It seems to happen at just the right moment, sometimes causing a situation to falter, leading people to ask, "Ms. Fujiwara, was that intentional?"
"But I'm not Yoshimoto Kogyo, so I can't create that kind of timing," she replies. The idea is that timing, in itself, cannot be manufactured through logic.
"That's natural, then," Ms. Fujiwara responded with a laugh.

Timing Creates New Encounters

In fact, it seems that developing a sense of timing has led to more new encounters.
With the space created by this timing, her capacity for acceptance has broadened. She used to be very direct, expressing her likes and dislikes immediately, and was told she had too much contrast.
Recently, however, she has become able to pause for a beat before expressing her thoughts.
"There's a gentle wavering emerging in what was previously the 'Fujiwara style.' Isn't that wonderful?"

Speaking with Ms. Fujiwara, whose timing is so exquisite, I felt as though new ventures and ideas were bubbling up between her words.
Indeed, when conversing with someone who has pauses in their thought process, one can feel enveloped in a warm charm. I certainly felt that from Ms. Fujiwara.

Don't Underestimate "Good Enough"

Perhaps "timing" is a balanced midpoint that counteracts extreme ways of thinking.
This was evident in her views on cosmetics. "As a woman, I have a rejection response to overly chemical cosmetics. Therefore, I believe that 'good enough' products are easily used and are the most effective," she stated regarding her cosmetic philosophy.

Humans are animals, and if cosmetics are too chemical, we can't keep up. Yet, purely natural products are insufficient. It seems that "good enough" is indeed the best.
She believes this might be an animal instinct. It's possible that consistently using "good enough" cosmetics, which can be used with comfort and peace of mind, is the most effective approach. I agree with this.

A Life with Timing in Shimoda

Recently, Ms. Fujiwara has also built a residence in Shimoda, Izu. She travels back and forth about once or twice a month.
Her dream of eventually living by the sea and cultivating a garden is gradually becoming a reality. She had been thinking about this for about three years when, fortunately, she found a suitable plot of land. Perhaps her sense of timing aligned with this opportunity.
We often hear stories where the more one rushes to achieve something, the harder it is to find something good, leading to unsatisfactory results. Isn't "timing" essential for attracting opportunities in all matters? I believe so.

As we talked, I felt a sense of relaxed, warm charm emanating from Ms. Fujiwara, who possesses such a wonderful sense of timing. I am convinced that timing is undoubtedly one of the essential cores of Ms. Fujiwara's captivating persona.

Ultimately, my conclusion is that the core elements of Ms. Fujiwara as a charismatic woman are "inspiration," "sincerity," and "timing."
Let us look forward to her continued refinement and the many new facets she will undoubtedly reveal.
