This is the Kesennuma tuna can I bought on impulse. Just try it!
It's packed in rice oil, and the oil itself is delicious. It's exquisite in tuna pasta!
Fresh sea squirts too. A superb delicacy to accompany sake.
Abundant local vegetables as well. Miyagi Prefecture is rich not only in fish but also in delicious vegetables.
The fish market displays freshly caught fish and processed goods. Are the local housewives discerning?
Sakana no Eki, the kitchen for Kesennuma's residents. A popular spot also visited by large tour groups.
I managed to get one, which they held for me until I finished shopping. They also had walnut cream sandwiches that day.
It was filled with rich cream inside. They say it's even more delicious when toasted on both sides.
A fish market with tuna and local fish. Unusually, they also had the heart of the deep-sea shark, known locally as 'mouka no hoshi'.
The cherry blossoms are starting to bloom, marking the start of another year. I'll go see everyone again this year.
The sight of the 'Team Kesennuma' staff seeing off the bus already brings tears to my eyes.
Voices of 'Thank you' echo from inside the bus.
From inside the bus, voices call out 'Goodbye!' to the staff holding the 'catch of the day' flags.
The bus slowly moves forward.
I'm moved, realizing anew how many people were involved.
My heartfelt thanks to the 'Team Kesennuma' staff who saw the tour bus off.
They see us off until the very end, just like the send-off ceremony for a fishing boat embarking on a long voyage.
The sight of the 'Team Kesennuma' staff seeing off the bus already brings tears to my eyes.
