Test Drive the New Porsche 911 Targa | Porsche Gallery

The latest "911 Targa" is reborn with a canopy design reminiscent of the classic "911 Targa" and a new open-roof system.
Tatsuya Ku嶋 test drives in a southern Italian town on the Adriatic coast.
The Targa 4S measures 4,491 x 1,852 x 1,289 mm (L x W x H) and weighs 1,575 kg (DIN), 130 kg more than the Carrera 4.
The roof section above the front seats is movable and retracts beneath the rear window, which pivots open.
The Targa 4S boasts 294 kW (400 hp) and 440 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds (4.4 seconds with the Sport Chrono package).
The interior of the new "911 Targa" shares the same design language as other 911 models.
The ability to enjoy open-air motoring with minimal compromise to body rigidity, by simply removing the roof section above the front seats, is a hallmark of the Targa across all generations.
The roof system opens and closes with the touch of a switch in just 19 seconds.
The Targa 4S is fitted with 245/35R20 tires at the front and 305/30R20 at the rear.
Porsche first unveiled the Targa at the 1965 Frankfurt Motor Show. It was a semi-convertible model created to commemorate their victory in the "Targa Florio" race.
