This year's Baselworld 2013 featured a completely revamped building and layout. In front of the Blancpain booth.
Baselworld 2013 set a record for attendance with approximately 120,000 visitors. Alongside a major renovation of the venue, the Blancpain booth was also refreshed.
Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe: A new model that revives the legendary diver's watch, celebrating its 60th anniversary.
Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe: 43mm (men's) stainless steel case, automatic movement, sail canvas or nylon NATO strap, 300m water resistance. Priced at ¥976,500 (men's) and ¥1,113,000 (men's ceramic titanium case). Scheduled for release this autumn.

Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe: The balance spring, the heart of the automatic movement, utilizes a silicon-based material for superior durability and resistance to magnetism.
Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe: 38mm (ladies') stainless steel case, automatic movement, sail canvas or nylon NATO strap, 300m water resistance. Priced at ¥892,500 (ladies'). Scheduled for release this autumn.

The Fifty Fathoms, Blancpain's first modern diver's watch, debuted in 1953. Despite the nascent stage of scuba diving, it anticipated many of today's international standards for diver's watches (ISO 6435:1996), including a unidirectional rotating bezel for marking dive times, a simple dial design for underwater legibility, and the use of an automatic movement to reduce the risk of water ingress.
