Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Event: Part 3 | Porsche Gallery

The "996" generation, the first water-cooled model, was the only one in the 911 lineage to deviate from the traditional "round headlights." While it may not have been universally praised by long-time Porsche enthusiasts, it successfully attracted and gained new users and fans, becoming a commercially successful model.
Alongside sports cars like the 911, Porsche-made tractors, which Porsche also produced, are on display. In Japan, they were imported and sold by ISEKI Agricultural Machinery. This is why ISEKI later became a sponsor for Porsche's racing activities.
The "Schwimmwagen," a military amphibious vehicle produced during World War II, was also developed by Porsche. (The olive green vehicle in the middle).
Porsche's Weissach research facility was responsible for the tuning of the "Mercedes-Benz 500E," which was then described as "a Mercedes-Benz made by Porsche" and remains popular to this day. This car can also be seen here.
Among the historic 911 models, the "911 GT1" racing car, built for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, is also present. This is a 1998 model, a road-legal version of the car that fiercely competed for the lead with Toyota's "GT-One TS020" until the very end, ultimately securing overall victory.
