The 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011: Peugeot - Photo Impressions
Peugeot, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2010 and unveiled a new brand logo, exhibited three vehicles: the "RCZ," already available in the Japanese market; a high-grade model of the "508" featuring premium Nappa leather in its interior and scheduled for introduction next year; and the "3008 HYbrid4," making its Japanese debut.
This world-first diesel hybrid vehicle has just launched in Europe and is being considered for introduction to Japan. By combining a front-engine, front-wheel-drive diesel engine with a rear motor and hybrid module, Peugeot claims that hybrid technology can theoretically be applied to all its vehicles. The engine is a 2-liter diesel producing a maximum output of 163ps and a maximum torque of 300Nm. The rear motor, assisting with an output of 37ps and torque of 200Nm, generates a total output of 200ps while achieving environmental performance with CO2 emissions of 99g/km. This is one model to look forward to in Japan.
