Seiko Watch has announced "ELLIPSE," a new series designed by internationally acclaimed designer Naoto Fukasawa, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the ISSEY MIYAKE WATCH project. It will be released on Friday, July 9, 2021.

The ISSEY MIYAKE WATCH project began in 2001 with the aim of being "innovative yet universal." Product designers active worldwide have expressed the brand spirit of "ISSEY MIYAKE" through their unique interpretations and methods, creating a diverse range of timepieces with the technological backing of Seiko Watch.

"ELLIPSE," born to celebrate the 20th anniversary, signifies a geometric oval. Fukasawa explained, "An oval is a more elegant geometric shape than a circle. In 'ELLIPSE,' I designed the circular orbit to fit naturally within the oval case. Its charm lies in its sharp yet softly resilient form." The collection features a pure and elegant shape.

The "ELLIPSE" is available in two types: a chronograph and a simple three-hand model. The regular models feature silver-colored cases paired with mesh bracelets (two variations), while the limited edition models commemorating the 20th anniversary have subdued gold-colored cases with black calf straps (two variations).

Combining grace with exquisite beauty, "ELLIPSE" marks the beginning of a new chapter for ISSEY MIYAKE WATCH this summer.
