From <Seiko Presage>, a watch brand that conveys Japanese aesthetics, comes a 110th anniversary limited edition model that pays homage to the Laurel, Japan's first wristwatch, and expresses its design from that era. The "Laurel," completed in 1913, was the realization of wristwatch manufacturing, which was considered an adventurous challenge for Japanese watchmakers at the time.

The Seiko Watch 110th Anniversary Limited Edition, released this time, is an homage to the first-generation "Laurel," Japan's first wristwatch. The new model follows the form of the first-generation "Laurel," expressing its unique rounded shape and proportions with the latest technology. In addition, the box-shaped crystal has been reproduced with sapphire glass, and the watch case and strap are connected with movable parts. It also reflects the appearance of the origin of Japanese wristwatches, such as the large crown and the use of enamel for the dial, similar to the first-generation "Laurel."

The enamel dial, which is difficult to manufacture, was fired under the supervision of enamel craftsman Mitsuru Yokosawa, resulting in a beautiful timepiece with the lustrous sheen and warm texture unique to enamel.

At the 6 o'clock position, where the second hand was placed at the time, a needle-type date display has been added. Furthermore, the new model features a power reserve at the 9 o'clock position. The hour, minute, date, and power reserve hands all adopt the delicate shapes used at the time, and the Arabic numerals printed on the dial faithfully reproduce the original font. Please also pay attention to the distinctive font for the number "4."

The connection between the strap and the case maintains the movable structure and through-strap design, similar to the original, while meeting modern quality standards. The strap is made of deerskin, which is breathable, supple, and comfortable to wear, with a calfskin lining for durability.
